• I won't waste your time, keep you hanging on, or otherwise try to 'string out' our call.
• If I can't picture exactly what you're doing, I might ask you to send a copy of your document by Keen mail.  If your document is confidential, it might help to have a 'dummy' document available. 
• If I can't get you the answers you need right away, I'll tell you how long it will take, disconnect, and we can arrange a time to speak again (usually within a few minutes.
